How Does Chest Binder Tape Work?
Chest Binder Tape takes a different approach to a traditional binder. Instead of compressing the whole torso, it uses gentle tension to hold the chest flat, applied in sections across the front. That means no squeezing around your ribs or organs, and full range of motion to breathe, move and stretch.
Each roll is made from soft cotton with a latex-free, hypoallergenic medical-grade adhesive. The wave-pattern adhesive lets your skin breathe and is kinder than full-coverage tape. It stays on through swimming and showering, and lasts five to seven days per application. One roll is 7.5cm wide and 5m long, so it goes a long way.
When is Tape the Right Choice?
Tape suits the moments a binder can't cover. It works under swimwear, backless tops and anything cut close to the skin, because it doesn't show at the back, shoulders or sides. It's a good option for sport, for hot days, and for anyone who finds all-day compression too much. If you want a garment built for movement and swimming instead, our Two-Sided Compression Top is worth a look.
Tape works best as a complement to a binder, not a full replacement. It isn't suited to every body type or chest size, and it takes a little time to apply well.
Using Binder Tape Safely
Safety comes first with any binding method. Always patch-test on your skin for 24 hours before first use, especially on sensitive areas, and apply to clean, dry skin. Never wrap the tape all the way around your chest. It's tension tape applied in sections, following the directions shown, not a wrap. To remove it comfortably, especially with sensitive skin, use a natural oil like coconut or olive oil to lift the adhesive gently.
